Student and Parent Meetings

Athletic Clearance

If you know you will be participating this year please make sure you complete the athletic clearance process (which includes a physical dated July 1, 2025 or later). If you have already completed the process because you were cleared for another sport at LGHS this school year you must add swimming/diving as an additional support. The athletic clearance list for swimmers and divers as of Thursday, January 29 can be found below:

If you are not on this list, then you have not begun the clearance process yet or have not named Swimming and Diving as an additional sport. As a reminder, a heart screening must also be completed for all athletes in grades 9 and 11. Athletes in grades 10 or 12 who have not had a heart screening must also obtain one. You can visit https://www.kylejtaylor.org/screenings to find local screenings. You may also obtain an EKG through your primary care physician and submit the appropriate documentation.

Please follow through with the full athletic clearance process as soon as possible. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE TEAM ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2 UNTIL THEY HAVE FULL ATHLETIC CLEARANCE.

If you are a returning parent or athlete, check that we successfully transferred your info from last year. Once logged in, go to the “Meets & Events” page. If you see the green “Job Signup” buttons, you are set! If you are new to our program and have questions we invite you to look at our website. You will receive log-in information after the first week of the season so that you may sign up for volunteer positions at meets, RSVP for pasta feeds, etc. If you have questions contact Coach Sullivan: [email protected]

Parent Participation

The team needs parent involvement to run our swim meets and other events. While ALL parents are expected to volunteer at Home Swim Meets, we also need volunteers in key positions. We have had a number of parents step up already, but we still need more help in lead positions like pasta feed coordinator, volunteer timer coordinator, etc. Details of these positions can be found below:

All parents are expected to volunteer time or may donate $75 per athlete to buy out their volunteer time and $75 to buy-out snack/pasta feed contributions. Donations can be made through the ASB webstore or make a check payable to Los Gatos High School and give to Coach Peters.
